P601 - Thorough Examination And Testing Of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems

Description

This course gives you a practical and theoretical understanding of best control practice for hazardous substances, the role of local exhaust ventilation (LEV) in this regard, and how to test and maintain LEV systems to a standard which reduces occupational ill-health. 

Prerequisites

Candidates are required to:

• Have a basic understanding of the measurement instruments, system components and visualisation techniques used for testing LEV equipment.

• Have a basic understanding of the mathematical calculations used in LEV testing.

• Be familiar with the contents of HSG258: Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work

ONLINE requirements

For online courses, you’ll need reliable internet access and a laptop or computer with two-way audio and video (camera and microphone) to participate fully and sit the exam.
